Culture and History

The fortified Ancien château des Etangs was built around 1492 by Abbot Jean du Puy. Its southwest tower, the east façade of the east building and the fortified gate have been partially protected as historic monuments since 14 September 1949.

The Église Saint-Laurent in Bossée features construction phases dating from the 12th to the 16th century. Its bell tower and the entire south façade from the 12th century have been preserved. The bell tower with its spire was classified as a historic monument by decree of 10 October 1921.

Le Besland is a former Gallo-Roman site in Bossée. The site is associated with local legends and bears witness to the local cultural heritage throughout the centuries.

Routes and Landscape

The cycling tour „A fond les vallons“, Circuit No. 56, starts in Bossée and ends in Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine. It offers a hilly landscape.

The Circuit De Randonnée N°1 also runs through Bossée as a 9.5 km circular hike on natural terrain; access is possible on foot and via the road.
