Semblançay: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Vestiges du château were listed as a historic monument by decree of 6 March 1947. They include a square keep built in the 12th century, of which the ground floor and first floor have survived.

Those who choose Semblançay for their stay may wish to rent a holiday apartment.

Culture

The nave of the Église Saint Martin dates from the late 11th century. The church houses a wooden statue of the Virgin Mary and a reclining Christ in terracotta dating from the 16th century. The choir contains stained-glass windows donated by Jacques de Beaune.

The Château de la Source preserves an enclosing wall and doors dating from the 16th century, as well as a round tower and ruins.

Nature

The Les Rouchoux area is open to the public and equipped with information panels for discovering biodiversity. As an Espace Naturel Sensible, it covers 50 hectares, including 30 hectares of woodland, 16.6 hectares of meadows and 4 hectares of pond area.

For hikes, parking is available at the Salle des fêtes Jean-Hubé and at the sports hall.

Hiking

Boucle 52 is a 28 km moderately difficult circular hike through Semblançay, Le Serrain, Sonzay and Neuillé-Pont-Pierre.
