Saint-Lubin-de-la-Haye: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Saint-Lubin-de-la-Haye reveals its sacred history at the Église Saint-Lubin: the church has been classified as a historic monument since 1967 and is still used for Catholic worship. Around 1100, it was transferred to the Benedictine monks of Sainte-Marie d’Ivry Abbey; it was one of the abbey’s six priories. A statue of Saint Lubin in the church has been classified as a protected object since 18 June 1968.

History and culture

The Chapelle Saint-Sulpice in Saint-Lubin-de-la-Haye was founded in the 12th century by Benedictine monks from Ivry Abbey. It has a nave and, on the north side, a timber vault decorated with black floral motifs. On 11 February 1964, the chapel was listed as a historic monument.

Landscape and trails

The Côte de la Haye Natura 2000 site is a dry valley on the left bank of the Vesgre. The circular hiking trail “Autour de Saint-Sulpice” crosses the Vesgre via bridges. The average visiting time indicated for this circular trail is 2 hours and 20 minutes; it also passes the village washhouse, which is one of the points of interest along the route.

The GR® 22 crosses the west of the Île-de-France region and then continues to the Château d’Anet, which is located in the area around Saint-Lubin-de-la-Haye, and on into the Avre Valley and Normandy. The ruins of the Ancienne abbaye d’Ivry-la-Bataille are also located in the same area.
