Le Tronchet: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The 18th-century Château des Coudreaux was built on the site of an earlier manor house. Its façades and roofs, as well as those of the outbuildings, were registered as a historic monument by decree of 8 February 1984.

Culture and History

Tuffeau stone from the Croc Marbot quarries was used in the 12th century to build the Church of Saint-Pierre and in the 15th century for its bell tower.

In the vicinity of Le Tronchet are the Château de Châteaudun, a château, the Sainte Madeleine Abbey Church of Châteaudun, a historic site, the Château de Dangeau, also a historic site, and the Sainte-Chapelle, a church.

Nature and Trails

The walk to Croc Marbot is considered a tourist, historical and cultural hiking route. It begins at the Espace Loisirs des Fontaines and follows the Loir. On this walk, you can observe moorhens, swans, wild ducks, as well as carp and other fish. During the season, you can rent a boat at the municipal swimming pool and explore the Loir.

The section of the GR35 described in Marboué connects Verneuil-sur-Avre with Seiches-sur-le-Loir and is considered easy to walk. Marboué is also located on the GR655, the Way of St. James from Paris to Tours via Chartres.

Along the Conie, there are starting points for hiking routes offering views of the watercourse and the thatched roofs of the region's characteristic houses.

Leisure and Excursions

The Base de loisirs de Marboué offers a 500 m² heated pool, games, inflatable play structures, canoeing, pedal boating, mini-golf, table football, beach volleyball and pétanque.
