Arrou: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The choir, nave and Romanesque portal of the Saint-Lubin church in Arrou were built from Grison in the 12th century. The side aisles and Gothic gables were built from limestone in the 15th century. The church also houses a large contemporary organ from 2006 with around 30 stops.

Events

Bois Ruffin is considered a green woodland area in the middle of the plain, with diverse vegetation. The Troubadours de la Joie put on three theatre performances in Arrou every year in February. Every year on 1 May, they organise an event in Arrou, in the heart of Bois Ruffin.

Leisure

In Parc André GUILLAUMIN behind the town hall, Arrou has a public nine-hole miniature golf course that is open to everyone. The Zone de loisirs d'Arrou leisure area offers picnic tables, a playground and a pétanque court. It also has a beach and supervised swimming in the pond; however, swimming is closed to the public until the end of the 2026 season.

The 9-hectare body of water Le Pont Foulon is one of the designated fishing waters associated with Arrou. A designated fishing section runs from Pont Richard 500 m downstream along the left bank.

Trails and landscape

The 35 km horse-riding route “Plaine et vallée de l’Yèvre” passes through varied landscapes between the hills of Perche and the Beauce plain and is more suitable for experienced riders. In Vald'Yerre, the hiking trail “Arrou, aux portes du Perche Gouet” is 5.5 km long and easy. Also in Vald'Yerre, the 23.0 km “Le Bois Ruffin” hiking trail is easy.
