Langey: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Langey is situated on a relatively high plateau above the surrounding valleys. The tall slate-roofed tower of the Église Saint-Pierre de Langey rises above the surrounding landscape.

Culture and History

The Église Saint-Pierre de Langey dates from the 12th to the 17th century. Its furnishings include the statue of Saint James, made of painted wood, which is an example of the transitional period between the 16th and 17th centuries.

Langey is also home to the house known as the Maison dite de Rabelais, an old surviving testimony to the past. It is located at the exit of Langey towards Boisgasson.

Landscape and Geographical Character

The area around Langey was once home to numerous forests, hornbeam stands and vineyards. At the same time, Langey lies neither in the Perche proper nor in the Beauce plain.
