La Saucelle: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In La Saucelle, the Circuit des Templiers leads to places where traces of the Knights Templar have been preserved. The hiking trail thus connects the local landscape with its history.

Hiking

The Circuit de la Résistance is also a hiking trail. In the area around La Saucelle, it commemorates wartime operations, hideouts, parachute drops and nocturnal supply missions.

Nature

The Circuit Bois & Forêt reflects La Saucelle’s location on the edge of the forest, between the forests of the Perche and an agricultural plateau. It invites visitors to experience the landscape at walking pace while practising forest bathing.

The Circuit de l'eau takes hikers past ponds and pools, a network of ditches leading to the rivers, a traditional Mariette and hand pumps. The drainage network laid out on the edge of the forest in La Saucelle still exists today.

Culture

Construction of the Romanesque section of the Église Sainte-Anne began between the 11th and 12th centuries. The north aisle was added to the nave in the 16th century. Thanks to its exceptional acoustics, the church can host cultural events and concerts featuring local and national ensembles.

Summer Evening

Held every summer, the Fête des étoiles combines a themed hike with astronomical observation in the evening.

Mobility

La Saucelle is about 20 minutes from the three railway stations of Dreux, Verneuil-sur-Avre and La Loupe; all three can be reached from Paris-Montparnasse. La Saucelle is served by regular Rémi bus routes, as well as Rémi+, an on-demand shuttle with pickup and return to the passenger’s place of residence.

The cycling loop Sur les traces des Templiers – Boucle n°12 also passes through La Saucelle. It is signposted with green-and-white signs and a green marker bearing the number 12.
