Nature and trails
The path between Les Sablons and the road to Neuvy/Barangeon (D30) leads through young forests and woodlands, forest clearings, coniferous stands, cultivated fields and wetlands; various circular routes are possible. During the first 500 metres of this path, some white stones contain fossils. They are considered evidence of the very ancient presence of a sea in Sologne.
A total of 134 bird species have so far been recorded in Presly. The Presly–Méry-es-Bois circular hike is classified as easy, is 27.0 kilometres long and is stated to take around four hours.
Culture and history
Le chanteau de la Planche comprises a small 14th-century fortification and a new 18th-century château. The château is privately owned and not open to visitors.
L’Angélus is open to the public during the Sunday and weekly Masses. The Église Saint-Caprais stands on the foundations of an original 13th-century church building; the present building was reconstructed at the beginning of the 20th century on the initiative of Abbé Pézard. The church is built entirely of brick, the traditional building material characteristic of Sologne. It contains a stained-glass window created by the Lorin workshops of Chartres in 1931, dedicated to Saint Caprais.
