Neuvy-Le-Barrois: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Église Saint-Martin in Neuvy-le-Barrois has been listed as a historic monument since 1 October 1926. Its single-nave structure has a chapel on the left-hand side; the two bays in front of the choir date from the 12th century, while the exterior door dates from the 15th century.

The ZNIEFF area “Suintements et pâtures du Picot Bourdiau et du vallon humide de Bougel” covers 23.2 hectares in Neuvy-le-Barrois. The wet depressions of Bougel and Picot Bourdiau form the only known site in Centre-Val de Loire where a population of Coenagrion ornatum occurs. For just over 1,000 metres, the streams in the wet depressions of Bougel and Picot Bourdiau still follow their natural course through extensively managed cattle and sheep pastures. Neuvy-le-Barrois is also included in the Natura 2000 site “Vallées de la Loire et de l’Allier entre Cher et Nièvre”.
Culture
The privately owned Château de Neuvy features construction phases from the 12th, 15th and 17th centuries. A medallion has been placed on the birthplace of the sculptor Jean Baffier in Neuvy-le-Barrois.
