Vallenay: holiday apartments and holiday homes
Vallenay's Saint-Martin Church preserves several painted decorations dating from the 12th to the 17th century, most of which are still covered by whitewash. By decree of 14 April 1998, the church was fully registered as a historic monument.
Culture and history
Three buildings remain from the former fortified complex dating from the 16th century at Château de Bigny. The building is partially registered as a historic monument and preserves loopholes from the 16th century, which were probably created during the Wars of Religion. An agreement dated 7 September 1573 also describes a forge in Bigny that produced iron using hydropower.
The former church site is now known as Clos Saint-Martin and hosts exhibitions and performances.
Water and crafts
La Petite Forge is located on an island between the River Cher and a canal built for the forge industry. The protection of La Petite Forge de Bigny as a historic monument also includes the former diversion canal dating from 1841.

The historic sites of Abbaye Bois-d'Habert and Abbaye de Noirlac are located in the vicinity of Vallenay. The historic site of Abbaye de La Prée lies in the wider regional surroundings of Vallenay.
Nature
A possible route of the GR 41 through Vallenay passes close to an old lime kiln and former quarries.
