Along the Loire, the Îles de la Gargaude are home to dry grasslands and stands of white willow. The Îles de la Gargaude are home to numerous animal and plant species.

Culture

Before the French Revolution, the Église Saint-Hilaire was one of the most important priories of the Saint-Satur Abbey. The main layout dates from the early 13th century; a tower is located in front of the nave.

The construction of the Canal latéral à la Loire in 1832 significantly changed the landscape of Ménétréol-sous-Sancerre.

Experiences

The Chèvrerie les Chamons is a stop along the Loire à Vélo. Visitors can see dairy goats and their kids there. Children can pet and feed the goats; visitors can buy various goat cheeses on site.
