Nançay: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Nançay lies in the heart of Sologne. At the Pôle des Étoiles, there is a permanent exhibition entitled “Les sciences de l'Univers”. The Pôle des Étoiles is also the only planetarium in the Centre-Val de Loire region.

Activities

At Aventure Parc, there are more than 80 tree-top games spread across several hectares of woodland. Aventure Parc also has two paintball fields and a catapult attraction that launches participants more than 20 metres into the air.

The Golf des Étoiles NANCAY SOLOGNE has a wooded course lined with ponds; biodiversity is developing in this setting.

Culture and History

Galerie Capazza has a small room dedicated to Alain Fournier, a child of the region. Saint-Laurian Church features a remarkable oak-vaulted ceiling and a wall painting.

The historic sites Abbaye Notre-Dame de Loroy, Abbaye Notre-Dame de Beauvoir and Abbaye Saint-Martin de Massay are located in the wider area around Nançay.

Regional Specialities

Sablés de Nançay were created in 1953 in a village in Sologne following a recipe error; their traditional artisanal production has been preserved within the family for more than 60 years. Groups are personally welcomed at Sablés de Nançay to learn about their history and gain insights into the secrets of their production.

Getting There

The Observatoire Radioastronomique de Nançay site can be reached via the A71, taking the Salbris exit, then the D944 towards Bourges and, in Nançay, the D29 towards Souesmes.
