Culture and history

At the Château de Lauroy, the northeastern façade and the roof have been listed as historic monuments by decree since 23 July 1981. The Château de Lauroy was probably built at the end of the 17th century as a brick building in place of an older structure. The history of the canal includes the Site d'écluse de Chanteloup on the Canal de la Sauldre, which is located in Clémont and comprises a lock, a bridge, a house and a bread oven. The entrepreneur Gariel built the Lauroy lock and lock keeper's house in the municipality of Clémont in 1854–1855.

The Château de Fraizières, Château de la Ronce, Château de Sully-sur-Loire and Château de Cuissy are châteaux in the wider regional area around Clémont.

Paths

The Sente Bleue is a 30-kilometre-long walking path along the Canal de la Sauldre.

Nature

The Chemin de Brinon is a 6.6-kilometre-long rural path in Clémont, suitable for hiking and cycling. Deer, wild boar and wild birds can be observed along Clémont's rural paths.

Water

Fishing is possible on the Sauldre and the Nère, which are first-category rivers. The Canal de la Sauldre and the Étang du Puits offer fishing opportunities; the Étang du Puits is designated as a second-category body of water. Since 2000, the Maison de la Pêche has hosted events throughout the year.
