Culture
The Dolmen dit Pierre-de-Matafin has been listed as a historic monument since 24 August 1934.
In the area around Chardonnay are the Hôtel-Dieu-Musée Greuze Museum, Château de Cormatin, Château Chabotte and Saint Philibert Abbey Church.

Eno Dégust' combines the discovery of monumental and oenological heritage and offers tours and tastings in Chardonnay. Thirteen local winegrowers presented their terroir and expertise.

The programme for Chardonnay Day 2026 included gyropode rides through the vineyards. Tournuscimes was held in Chardonnay for the first time in 1984.
Nature
The Site d'escalade - Chardonnay climbing area was completely re-equipped in 2022 and features a north-facing wall that is very rare in the département. The rock at the climbing area is limestone; depending on its orientation, its colour varies from white to dark ochre-yellow.
Mont de Pouilly lies in the wider region surrounding Chardonnay.
Cycling
The VélOeno71 cycling route starts and ends in Chardonnay and is 30 km long.
