Special places in Prissé include the Château de Montceau, built in the 17th century, La Solitude and the Puits à roue des Bouteaux. La Solitude is a preserved small pavilion building set amid the vineyards, where Lamartine liked to work. La Solitude can only be viewed from the outside and by appointment. At the Puits à roue des Bouteaux, water was drawn up from a depth of 35 m using a rope and a large wheel known as an “à écureuil”.

Activities

The Voie Verte crosses Prissé from east to west. The “Des carrières de la Lie à la Solitude – Prissé” hiking route is 9.7 km long and runs through the heart of the Val Lamartinien.

In Prissé, the Vignerons des Terres Secrètes offer cellar tours followed by a guided wine tasting. Recognised as Accueil Vélo, the Vignerons des Terres Secrètes are located on the Voie Verte and offer bicycle repair equipment, water, toilets, battery charging and tourist information. Prissé lies in the northern part of the Saint-Véran appellation.

The historic Château Saint-Léger site is located in the vicinity of Prissé. The Château Chabotte, the Chapelle des Moines monastery and the Berzé Castle historic site are located around Prissé. The Mont de Pouilly mountain is also nearby. The Tête à l'Âne, Rontécolon and Grande Montagne mountains are also located around Prissé.
