Molac: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Church of Saint-Cyr et Sainte Julitte stands on a rocky promontory in Molac; it overlooks the Arz valley.

Culture and history

The present-day Gothic church building in Molac was erected in 1873, replacing the former 15th-century church. Several houses in the centre of Molac date from the 17th century. On the hillside lies the Calvaire de Molac: a tall wooden cross dominates the site, which is accessed via two stone stairways.

The Menhir de la Pierre Longue, a 4.80 m-high granite menhir, stands in the forest of Molac. The Chapelle Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel in Lindeul is believed to be attributed to the Hospitallers of Saint John of Jerusalem, also known as the Knights of Malta. The Chapelle de L’Hermain houses a 16th-century Ecce Homo statue.

Hiking and trails

The Circuit du Lindeul is a 12 km-long hiking trail in Molac. It leads to the Arz River and runs along the Voie Verte, a former railway line. There are paths near the Menhir de la Pierre Longue; a car park is located at the start of the trail.

Cycling

Vélo Promenade No. 23 is a 25 km-long cycle route that passes through the municipalities of Pluherlin and Molac.

Event

The Foire Exposition de Molac takes place on a five-hectare site with nearly 450 exhibitors. It is held every two years.
