Vezin-Le-Coquet: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Vezin-le-Coquet stands the parish church of Saint-Pierre, with Romanesque foundation walls. In the 11th century, it was handed over to the canons of Rennes. Between 1820 and 1830, Jean-François Pointeau, Louis Richelot and Lagarde redesigned the church; the nave was rearranged and the transept and choir were built.

History

The calvary cross depicts Christ on one side and the Virgin Mary with the infant Jesus on the other. The former Saint-Méen Hospital had existed since at least 1580 and served as a resting place for poor pilgrims travelling through Vezin-le-Coquet.

The Fontaine Saint Méen is located in Parc de Boaré. It was restored and enhanced in summer 2025 and is considered part of Vezin-le-Coquet’s historical heritage.

Hiking

The Boucle de Vezin circular trail (PDIPR) is approximately 4.7 km long, takes about 70 minutes and starts on Rue du Portail. The Circuit du Pont Lagot is approximately 4.6 km long, takes about 68 minutes and starts on Rue de Rennes. The Circuit de la Flume is approximately 6.3 km long, takes about 95 minutes and starts at the sports complex.

The hiking route along the Vallée Vilaine runs through Bruz, Chavagne, Laillé, Le Rheu, Rennes, Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande and Vezin-le-Coquet.

Cycling connection

Via the Réseau Express Vélo, Vezin-le-Coquet can be reached by bicycle from Roazhon Park in approximately 15 minutes.
