Saint-Georges-de-Reintembault: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Saint-Georges-de-Reintembault preserves a special feature in the stained-glass windows of the Chapelle Julien Maunoir: they are the only surviving stained-glass windows from the workshop of the stained-glass artist Lévêque de Beauvais in Brittany.

Nature and landscape

The hiking landscapes of Saint-Georges-de-Reintembault include preserved bocage landscapes with hedges on embankments, sunken lanes, forests, meadows, fields and granite formations.

The Parc de Colas is located near the former Colas watermill and has been designated an LPO bird protection area since 2020.

Equidome offers horseback rides in small groups along sunken lanes through hilly countryside. The programme includes half-day and full-day rides, riding lessons in the arena and further training courses for all levels.

The Moulanou Botanical Garden can be visited from May to September by prior reservation.

Culture and history

The Chapelle Julien Maunoir welcomes visitors during liturgical celebrations, Marian prayers and the memorial service commemorating Julien Maunoir's birthday. Julien Maunoir was born in Saint-Georges-de-Reintembault in 1606.

Saint-Georges-de-Reintembault received the distinction of “Commune du Patrimoine Rural de Bretagne” in 1999. In the 18th century, linen and hemp grown locally were used in the village to produce netting fabric and textiles, which were exported to Spain and the colonies.

Cycling

Vélo-Promenade® No. 2, “La balade du meunier”, is a 39-kilometre cycling route associated with Saint-Georges-de-Reintembault.
