Saint-Pierre-de-Plesguen has a clear cultural landmark in the Église Saint-Pierre: it is classified as a historic monument.

Culture and history

The Circuit des Carrières is listed as being 19.8 km long and taking five hours. Granite quarried in Saint-Pierre-de-Plesguen was used for the Dinan viaduct. Rocher Abraham was an important granite village with quarries and workshops where granite was hewn and cut to size.

Nature

At the heart of the village lies the Espace naturel de La Vallée nature area; its ponds offer a walking route. The Massif de Saint-Pierre-de-Plesguen is a granite plateau characterised by forests and bocage hedgerows. The forests of the Massif de Saint-Pierre-de-Plesguen are crossed by numerous hiking and walking trails.

Activities

The Saint-Pierre Nature association offers activities such as running, trail running, hiking, mountain biking and road cycling, and organises the Trail des Vallées. Mesnil-Roc’h offers seven circular routes on foot, horseback or mountain bike, allowing visitors to explore the Forêt du Mesnil and the granite massif of Lanhélin and Saint-Pierre-de-Plesguen.

Local life

The organically certified Ferme de la Vallée in Saint-Pierre-de-Plesguen sells seasonal vegetables, aromatic herbs and cut flowers in its farm shop, which is open on Wednesdays from 3 to 6 p.m. The Saint-Pierre-de-Plesguen market takes place every Friday from 2 January 2026 to 25 December 2026 and offers local products through short supply chains and direct sales: vegetables, cheese, fish, flowers and handicrafts.
