Tréméoc: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Étang du Moulin Neuf, also known as Toul Dour Bénard, is a 65-hectare drinking-water reservoir located in the municipalities of Tréméoc and Plonéour-Lanvern.

Nature

A hiking trail approximately 8 km long runs around the Étang du Moulin Neuf. The Circuit l'Etang du Moulin Neuf circular route also runs around the Étang du Moulin Neuf; among other things, coots, gulls, great crested grebes and swans can be observed along the way. It is an easy 15 km hike and starts at the Place de la mairie in Tréméoc.

Night fishing for carp is permitted at the Étang du Moulin Neuf with a fishing licence.

Culture and history

The Chapelle Saint-Sébastien, located in the countryside, dates from the 16th century and is dedicated to Saint Sebastian. It includes a stone Calvary cross made of granite in the 16th century, with a Pietà carved in stone. By decree of 16 August 1971, the chapel was listed as a historic monument.

The Eglise Saint-Alour dates from the 17th century and preserves four pillars from the predecessor building of the Pont-Croix school, with architectural elements dating from the late 14th century. Carved beam ends have also been preserved there, some of which are polychrome.

The private Manoir de Lestrémec estate includes a small chapel built in 1643 and restored in 2007. The private Manoir de la Coudraie has eight monumental pillars dating from the 17th century. The pillars depict grimacing faces and heraldic lions and are topped with funerary vases.

Getting around

The Boucle VTT n°3 Moulin Neuf is a mountain-bike route that starts at the car park by the town hall in Tréméoc. It leads through the Bigouden countryside to the Étang du Moulin Neuf in Tréméoc and onwards through the historic town of Pont-l’Abbé with its inhabited bridge.

The green route “Sur les traces du train Birinik” follows a former railway line between Pluguffan and Pont-l’Abbé and is 12 km long.

Tréméoc is not served by coaches. The nearest stop to the town centre is Ty Robin in the neighbouring municipality of Combrit; BreizhGo routes 956 and 957 operate there.
