Térénez is an island connected to the mainland by a raised pebble causeway.

Nature

On the Térénez peninsula lies Plage de Térénez, a sandy and pebble beach. The beach is particularly popular with windsurfers. Plage de Térénez has free parking and toilets.

Water

Port de Térénez offers mooring berths for 180 boats, including 8 visitor berths. Port de Térénez is equipped with showers and toilets and is a marina for boats measuring less than 10 metres in length.

Through its sports school, École de voile de Térénez offers training in competitive sailing. It has catamarans, dinghies and windsurfing boards. The rowing club Aviron baie de Morlaix is based at Port de Térénez and offers opportunities for training, competition preparation and recreational outings on the water.

From July to September, Les Huîtres de Stérec offers tastings of oysters and shellfish every day from 12 noon to 9 p.m. on an outdoor terrace at the oyster farm overlooking Port de Térénez. White wine, as well as bread and butter, is served with them.

Culture

At Pointe de Térénez in Plougasnou there is a fortified complex (Mo 60; unexecuted project) with wartime relics.
