Pont-Croix is situated on a natural promontory and overlooks the coastal river Goyen.

Location and Landscape

The tidal banks of the Goyen below Pont-Croix are suitable for walks. In the historic centre, cobbled lanes lead to numerous sites of historical significance.

Paths along the Goyen

The La Vallée du Goyen – PR® 19 hiking trail begins at the car park by the boat launching ramp at Pennanguer in Pont-Croix. The Youtar connects Beuzec-Cap-Sizun with Audierne and passes through Pont-Croix. Along the Goyen, which is considered an area of ornithological interest, it passes through Pont-Croix via car-free paths or small roads shared with other road users.

Culture and History

The Church of Notre-Dame de Roscudon has been classified as a historic monument since 13 August 1851. The south portal of the collegiate church of Notre-Dame-de-Roscudon displays features of the so-called Pont-Croix style.

The former Petit Séminaire Saint-Vincent, with its chapel, is a historic complex dating from the 17th to the 20th century. The Saint Vincent Chapel stands at the southern extension of the west wing of the Petit Séminaire.

Le Marquisat is a manor house built in the 16th century that belonged to the distinguished family of the Lords of Rosmadec. The manor house hosts a new art exhibition every year. Pont-Croix 1358 is a reconstructed village representing 14th-century Brittany.
