The Plage de la Torche is located near Plomeur. La Torche has a 2-kilometre-long white sandy beach facing west, set in a natural environment classified as a Natura 2000 site. At La Torche beach, the GR34 runs along the dune belt; hiking, running and horse riding are possible there. La Torche is suitable for surfing, bodyboarding, kitesurfing, windsurfing and stand-up paddleboarding.

Culture and History

The Chapelle de Beuzec has a remarkable four-part stained-glass window dating from around 1400. The present-day Chapelle Saint Côme et Damien dates from 1867; its Pardon is celebrated on the second Sunday in October. The Chapelle Notre-Dame de Tréminou dates from the 13th century and was restored in the 14th and 16th centuries.

The Dolmen de Kerugou is a passage dolmen with a T-shaped, partitioned chamber and was restored in 1938. The Église Sainte-Thumette ou Tunvezh was built in 1760 on the ruins of an earlier church. Its calvary cross, dated 1861, was created by Poilleu and includes a Kersantite Pietà.

The Bagad Cap Caval from Plomeur is a Breton music group with around sixty musicians. New compositions are created every year, combining traditional Breton music with contemporary influences. For the 22nd edition of the Fête de la Crêpe, 22 July 2026 was announced at the town hall square in Plomeur; crêpes, kouigns and, from 9 p.m., a fest-noz with the group Kantrerien were planned.
