Pencran: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Pencran combines sacred architecture, historic manor houses and notable destinations in the surrounding area. This profile is particularly evident in the Église Notre-Dame de Pencran and the estates whose construction history dates back to the 16th and 17th centuries.

Culture and History

At the south portal of the Église Notre-Dame de Pencran stand statues of the twelve Apostles. The bell tower also preserves a bell dating from 1365. The historical diversity continues at the Château de Chef-du-Bois: the estate extends across several municipalities, including Pencran, was rebuilt in 1662 on a U-shaped plan and expanded with a chapel in 1777.

The Manoir de Kermadec also preserves an illustrative piece of architectural history. Its interior has retained its original layout; the main construction phase dates from the first half of the 16th century. The manor is listed as a historic monument.

Surroundings

The Château de Brézal, a castle, is located in the vicinity of Pencran. Also found there are the Monastère de Kerbénéat, a monastery, and the Abbaye Notre-Dame, a historic site. In the immediate surroundings, the Église Saint-Houardon, a church, completes this ensemble.

Landscape

The wider region around Pencran includes Plage du Moulin Blanc and Plage Boutrouilles, both beaches. The islands of Île de Tibidy and Île de Terénez are also located there.
