In Pouldreuzic, Penhors Beach lies at the heart of Audierne Bay. It is a very popular spot among surfing and land-sailing enthusiasts and has been awarded the Blue Flag environmental label. A well-maintained section of the GR34 runs along the beach and the small, typical port of Penhors, making safe walks possible.

Water Sports

Plein Ouest offers land sailing in Audierne Bay; two-person land sailing is accessible to people with disabilities. The Ecole de surf de Bretagne in Penhors offers children and adults, both beginners and advanced participants, courses in bodyboarding, surfing from the age of five, and stand-up paddleboarding, as well as equipment rental.

Walking Trails and Experiences

The GR34, the famous customs officers' path, passes by the Musée de l'Amiral. The museum provides children with playful visiting guides tailored to different age groups. The Ferme équestre de Ty Marc'h makes it possible to discover the landscapes of the Pays Bigouden on Camargue horses in the marshlands and by the sea.

Culture

The Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Penhors features 13th-century arcades and is an important pilgrimage site in the Pays Bigouden and Cornouaille. The Grand Pardon de Penhors is celebrated on the first Sunday in September and attracts hundreds of people from the Pays Bigouden and even from Cornouaille. The Maison natale de Pierre Jakez Hélias museum presents an authentic Bigouden interior from the early 20th century.

Apples and Cider

The Cidrerie Kerné boutique offers free tastings of its ciders and apple juices. The Espace Kerné presents the history of apples and cider in various themed areas featuring films and interactive elements. Only in autumn, during the production of its ciders and apple juices, does the Cidrerie Kerné organise guided tours of the cidery.
