Landéda borders the Aber Benoît and has a coastline approximately 15 kilometres long. Between the coast, islands, dunes and historic buildings, very different facets lie close together here.

Nature and paths

The Rand’Abers 2 route begins at the port of Aber Wrac’h in Landéda; more than two thirds of its course follows the GR 34. In summer, the Bac an Treizh connects the port of Aber Wrac’h with the port of Perros in Plouguerneau. Landéda also has five cycling routes covering a total of 20 kilometres of greenways, cycle lanes and shared minor roads.

Île Cézon can be reached on foot at low tide. Before excursions to islands that can be reached at low tide or a shore-angling trip, you should take particular care and check the times of low and high tide. Water sports can be practised at the dunes of Sainte-Marguerite. During the school holidays, the CVL offers nautical excursions and equipment hire.

History and culture

The Sémaphore de l’Aber-Wrac’h dates from 1861 and is mainly used for exhibitions and cultural conferences. Île Guénioc has been listed as a historic monument since 24 September 1964; it features stone mounds with dolmens, whose construction dates back to around 4600 BC.

Île de Cézon, with its fort in Landéda, is listed as a historic monument. Construction work on Fort Cézon began in 1694 and was completed ten years later. The Chapelle de Sainte-Marguerite was rebuilt in 1852 near the dunes of Sainte-Marguerite. Two goémon ovens on these dunes are regularly maintained by the municipality of Landéda.

Château de Troménec includes a chapel with a rectangular floor plan, two gables and a bell turret.
