Culture and history

The Church of Saint-Fiacre in Guengat dates from the 15th century. The large window in the chancel has preserved its original stained-glass windows. The church has also been protected as a historic monument by decree of 22 July 1914.

The Sainte Brigitte Chapel in Guengat is an 18th-century building. Its altarpiece consists of a central panel divided into six sections depicting the life of Saint Bridget of Sweden in low relief.

The remains of the Manoir de Saint-Alouarn in Guengat date from the 16th and 17th centuries. The main building was restored in 1656.

At the Ty Planche terminus in the municipality of Guengat, the greenway from Douarnenez to Quimper runs through a hilly, rural landscape. When leaving the greenway at Ty Planche in Guengat, there is a connection to QUB bus route no. 23.
