Nature and paths

The Circuit du château d'eau is an easy, 10.2-kilometre hiking trail starting and ending in Saint-Gildas. From the town hall, it is signposted with green way markers. Le Rozio is a small spring that appears alongside the path.

The Circuit de la chapelle de Kerdrouallan is an easy, 10.3-kilometre circular hiking trail starting from the town hall square. It leads to the Notre-Dame de Kerdrouallan chapel and its nearby spring, and offers views across the landscape. The chapel was built in the 15th century and extended around 1740; it houses several statues from the 16th and 17th centuries, while two large griffins guard its entrance. Its restoration in the 1990s was accompanied by the revival of the Pardon rite, including a procession and a stay at the spring.

History and culture

The Menhir de Keranhouët is located in La Grande Lande in Saint-Gildas and has been protected as a historic monument since 23 September 1965. The Croix de Rhundault is considered one of the largest surviving monolithic crosses from the early Middle Ages in the region. It stands on a former Gallo-Roman road that now forms the municipal boundary between Saint-Gildas and Le Leslay.

Tourist attractions in Saint-Gildas include the Étang du Quellennec with the ruins of the castle, as well as a Roman road near Kernanouet.
