Lanmérin: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Lanmérin, the Chapelle Saint-Jérôme de La Salle has been classified as a Historic Monument since 1930. It was built in 1536 at the request of the lords of the Lagadec family. The enclosure of the chapel, planted with chestnut trees, also contains the Croix de la chapelle de La Salle, a 16th-century cross made of non-monolithic rose granite.

History

The Manoir de La Salle was probably built by Huon de La Salle in the first quarter of the 15th century. A round-arched entrance portal and windows with mullions and transoms have been preserved.

The Pont gallo-romain sur le Guindy dates from the 1st or 2nd century and was originally located along the route of a Roman road. In the Mouden district, the bridge consists of two long stones.

Two millstones for grinding grain have been preserved from the Moulin de Rumolin as evidence of its former activity. The remains of the miller's house and the mill leat can also be seen there.

The Fontaine Saint-Jean contains a wooden statue of the saint in a wall niche opposite the washhouse. The spring at the foot of the statue supplies the basin via an underground conduit.

The Église Saint-Mérin dates from the 17th century and was partly rebuilt in the 18th century and at the beginning of the 20th century. Its bell tower has a balustrade; the access staircase is recessed into the thickness of the load-bearing wall.

Landscape

Lanmérin consists largely of agricultural land; the work of farmers and livestock breeders shapes the bocage landscape.

Trails

The 68-kilometre Circuit du Trégor Côte d’Ajoncs passes through Lanmérin and is accessible year-round. The Boucle par Argas is an easy hike suitable for beginners, families and occasional hikers.
