Culture and History

Plouagat showcases its historical heritage at several clearly identified sites. The Petit Runio polished stone in Plouagat was classified as a historic monument by decree of 5 November 1971. The Church of Saint Peter in Plouagat is mentioned as early as 1207 and was rebuilt in 1760 using structural elements from the 15th century. The Prieuré des Fontaines Notre-Dame priory in Plouagat dates from the 13th to the 16th century. The Manoir de Fornebello forms part of Plouagat’s historical and architectural heritage.
