Ploulech: Holiday apartments and houses

The 10-hectare Pointe du Yaudet encompasses coastal heathland, cliffs, granite formations and an oak forest. From there, you can enjoy a view of the Baie de la Vierge and the mouth of the Léguer; Pointe du Yaudet is accessible via the GR34.

Coast and nature

Anse de la Vierge is a small, sheltered bay at the foot of the Côte de Pont Roux, in the heart of the mouth of the Léguer. It forms part of the natural, scenic and historical heritage of Yaudet.

History and religious heritage

Archaeological remains at the historic site of Yaudet attest to its use since the Mesolithic period; in Roman times, Yaudet was a fishing and trading port. The historic site of Yaudet is freely accessible all year round.

The Chapelle Notre-Dame-du-Yaudet stands in a parish district dating from the 16th century. It has long been a pilgrimage destination; an annual pardon is also held there. Following damage caused by Storm Ciaran, the chapel is closed until further notice.

Culture and discovery

The Musée du Modélisme displays model railway layouts, sailing boats, canoes and other boats, as well as dioramas on various themes, across 200 m².

The Moulin de Crec’h Olen has been faithfully restored. It is a tower mill with an architectural style characteristic of northern Brittany, featuring a small base. By arrangement, visits are possible for families, groups and school classes.

The discovery walk at Yaudet leads visitors, with the help of information panels, through the site’s exceptional natural and rural heritage. The works in Ploulec’h date from the second half of the 15th century to the first half of the 20th century.
