Trévé: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
Culture and sacred art
The parish church of Saint-Just in Trévé was rebuilt from 1709 onwards, and its bell tower was built in 1724. The floor plan is in the shape of a Latin cross and comprises three naves; the bell tower is topped by a stone spire. The church also contains a granite crucifixion scene from the 16th century depicting Christ on the cross with Saint John and Saint Peter dressed in Renaissance clothing.
The painting „La Vocation de saint Pierre“ has been classified as a protected object since 21 November 1991.
The Chapelle Saint-Pierre near the settlement of Foeil-Mareuc in Trévé is a late medieval chapel, also known as the Chapelle du Montoir or Chapelle du Moustoir. It was extended in 1752 with the construction of a bell tower. The chapel contains the painting „La Vocation de saint Pierre“, painted in 1711 by Le Corre, known as Dupont, and restored in 1991. In the choir behind the altarpiece, it also preserves a mural of the Crucifixion, probably created in the 15th or 16th century.
History and townscape
The Manoir, la Ville aux Veneurs in Trévé was built in 1761 for Sébastien Moisan, a cloth merchant. It is set in a wooded environment and has a T-shaped floor plan.
The history of cloth production also shaped the town: Trévé belonged to a rural cloth-production area and was associated with the Loudéac cloth market.
