Yvias: holiday apartments and holiday homes

Yvias preserves traces from different periods: these include a Neolithic dolmen and the Chapelle du Calvaire, a sacred building dating from 1685. This historical character is complemented by a church with a richly coloured statue of a saint and a former mill whose technical remains have been preserved.

Culture and history

The dolmen of Yvias is privately owned. It was classified as a historic monument by decree of 19 May 1959. The church of Saint-Judoce houses a statue of Saint Yvi; it is made of carved, polychrome-painted wood.

The Chapelle du Calvaire, a sacred building dating from 1685, is located on the road to Plourivo. The chapel houses a 17th-century painting of Christ as well as old statues. Another historical detail is the Moulin à farine Bescont: the former mill, now out of operation, was used to produce flour, while the shaft of its vertical water wheel has been preserved.

Activities

The Écuries du Menhir in Yvias is a riding school for ponies and horses with the FFE label. Riding lessons are offered there for people of all ages and ability levels. Guests are welcomed in Yvias in a green setting.
