Evran: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Château de Beaumanoir was rebuilt in 1628 by the Peschart family after the former château had been destroyed during the Wars of Religion of the League in the 16th century. The Château de Beaumanoir is classified as a historic monument and is open to the public.

Culture and Architectural History

Other historic buildings include the Moulin du Mottay, which was rebuilt at the end of the 19th century after a fire in 1878 and has retained its waterwheel. The Croix Macquerel is a 16th-century cross on Avenue du Mottay, or on the road to Plesder. The Château du Mottay, also known as Mottais, is a building dating from the 16th to the 19th century and was largely rebuilt after a fire in the 19th century.

The oldest parts of the Manoir de la Touche date from the late 16th century. It was extended in the first half of the 17th century and altered again in the 19th century. The Église Saint Pierre has been under this patronage since 1156. It was built around 1827 by Joseph Delion; around 1847, Jean Baptiste Delarocheaulion altered the church.

The Ille-et-Rance Canal

Leisure boats and barges lie along the banks of the Ille-et-Rance Canal in Évran.

“See You Sunday on the Canal” features a market of local creatives and artisans. Food is available on site, provided by participating associations and partner retailers. The event format also includes canoeing and kayaking excursions on the canal.
