Loguivy-Plougras: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
Loguivy-Plougras is located near the French N12 national road. The landscape and history are reflected here in an extensive woodland area, a high point, ancient paths, religious buildings and an architectural ensemble of the Breton Renaissance.
Nature and paths
The Forêt Départementale de Beffou covers more than 630 hectares and is considered the highest-elevation forest in Brittany. This forest has a 10-kilometre mountain biking circuit as well as trail routes of 9.1, 20.4 and 33.6 kilometres. At 322 metres, Le Pavé is the highest point in the Trégor; from there, the Tro Koad ar Markiz hiking trail runs for 5.2 kilometres.
In the Forêt de Beffou, a 1.5-kilometre section of the Roman road from Carhaix to Yaudet is visible. From Le Pavé, this section runs in a straight line towards Loguivy-Plougras and can be visited freely and independently all year round.
History and architectural heritage
The Chapelle Notre-Dame du Dresnay was built in the 16th century by the Quelen family of Dresnay. Its west façade, including the bell-gable tower, as well as a carved wooden rood beam inside, were placed under heritage protection by decree of 19 January 1955. Access is only possible by prior request to the town hall.
The Chapelle Saint-Ivy was rebuilt between 1861 and 1864 using structural elements from its predecessor, a 16th-century building demolished in 1857.
The Allée couverte du Brohet is a collective tomb dating from the 3rd millennium BC. It is 18 metres long and considered one of the longest covered megalithic structures in Brittany. The site can be visited freely and independently all year round.
The Eglise paroissiale Saint-Emilion is a 16th-century building and is accessible only by prior request to the town hall. The Château et parc de Kerroué is an architectural ensemble of the so-called Breton Renaissance.
