Tréguier: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Tréguier is best discovered through its sacred architecture: the former Saint-Tugdual Cathedral and its cloister have been protected as historic monuments since their inclusion on the 1840 list.
Culture and History
The present-day Saint-Tugdual Cathedral was built in several phases from the mid-13th century onwards. The west portal was completed around 1356, followed by the construction of the nave and choir from the late 13th to the early 15th century.
The cloister of Saint-Tugdual Cathedral is designed in the Flamboyant Gothic style and was built by Pierre Le Tirant and Rolland Le Besque. The cathedral also houses the tomb of Saint-Yves. Its 18th-century spire rises more than 60 metres above the entire town of Tréguier.
Other buildings also make their own distinctive contribution. Visitors can freely explore the Maison Ernest Renan, both inside the building and in its garden. The Maison du Tisserand at number 22 is one of the few houses in Tréguier with two projecting half-timbered walls.
The Chapelle des Paulines was built in 1760. It features draperies created using the trompe-l’œil technique, a ceiling decorated with portraits, and 19th-century stained-glass windows. It also hosts exhibitions; admission is free during opening hours.
Nature and Trails
Near Tréguier, the Jaudy and Guindy rivers meet and, under the influence of the tides, form the estuary known as the Ria or Rivière de Tréguier.
Tro Landreger runs through this landscape as an easy 6.2 km circular trail starting in Tréguier. The route is marked in yellow and follows the banks of the Tréguier estuary as well as local paths.

Le Mystère Abgrall leads through the streets of Tréguier to discover places steeped in history. For the treasure hunt, an investigator’s folder can be borrowed from the Tréguier tourist information office.

A visit to Brasserie Philomenn showcases the production of Philomenn beer, from malting and brewing through to bottling and packaging, followed by a tasting.
