La Vicomté-Sur-Rance: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In La Vicomté-Sur-Rance, the municipality’s routes lead to the boundary between the maritime and fluvial Rance. The Sentier de l'Eperon Barré runs along the river Rance; the Mont Joly viewpoint is located above the Rance along the trail.

Trails and Circular Walks

The Tour de La Vicomté-sur-Rance circular walk covers 13 km and 150 metres of elevation gain. The walk to the Dolmen du Bois Rocher covers 4.8 km and 74 metres of elevation gain, while the Sentier du pont de Lessard circular trail covers 3 km. The Sentier de l'Eperon Barré is listed as 5.5 km long with 158 metres of elevation gain.

Since April 2020, volunteers from La Vicomté-sur-Rance have maintained the municipality’s hiking trails. One circular trail passes through Ville Es Pois and follows a route reserved for pedestrians and cyclists into the centre of La Vicomté-sur-Rance.

History and Culture

The Dolmen du Bois Rocher is a Neolithic covered gallery. Morgrève is a refuge for the last “carrelets” on the Rance. In the distant past, the Eperon Barré was a refuge for Gallic tribes, including the Coriosolites.

At the Moulin du Prat, visitors can learn about its former use for milling wheat or buckwheat. The parish church of La Vicomté-sur-Rance was built in 1867. The upper part of the tower and the roofing of the parish church of La Vicomté-sur-Rance were altered in 1923 by the architect Dugenet.
