Nature and Trails

The Forêt départementale d’Avaugour-Bois-Meur covers almost 1,100 hectares of woodland, high forest, coppice and heathland. The forest massif lies within the municipalities of Saint-Péver, Lanrodec, Saint-Fiacre and Boquého, also extends across Lanrodec, and has 40 kilometres of hiking trails in the form of eight signposted circular routes. Protected carnivorous sundew species can be found in Bois-Meur.

Culture and History

The municipal art gallery in Lanrodec is open year-round and presents a new exhibition every month. The Chapel of Saint-Méen and Sainte-Anne de Seven in Senven-Lanrodec dates from the 16th century. The heraldic cross of Grand Perrien dates from the 17th century and stands in the cemetery; the motte castrale of Grand-Perrien is a medieval motte-and-bailey castle with ditches.

Geographical Location

Lanrodec is located on the RN12 between Guingamp and Saint-Brieuc, approximately halfway between the two.

Other Features

As part of “Coat&Co – Le Village des Transitions”, the Coat An Doc’h site in Lanrodec has a concrete project for ecological construction and a beekeeping school; since 1 April 2024, the site has been welcoming new professionals as part of this project.

The Hier & Deux mains bakery makes bread from local organic flour and natural sourdough; the dough is kneaded by hand and the bread is baked in a wood-fired oven.
