Culture and history

The church is dedicated to Saint Étienne. It contains a depiction of the nursing Virgin with the Christ Child from the 15th to 16th century, which is relatively rare in the region. The church, a 12th-century building, was modified in the 13th and 18th centuries.

The Chapelle de Polier was originally a 12th-century parish church and became a chapel when Polier was incorporated into Villebret. The chapel was restored in 1996. The Chapelle de Polier features carefully crafted ironwork with volutes, a face and snakes.
