History

The Château du Jaunet probably dates from the 16th century. It was the seat of an important lordship mentioned in 1501. The Église Saint Martial replaced a small Romanesque church that was demolished in 1864. The Église Saint-Jean was built in 1872 and 1873.

The Croix Jacob has a square limestone base with a capstone made of Volvic stone and bears the inscription “Jubilé 1902”.

The Croix du Grand Serbannes is an iron cross on a base made of several stones. The Croix du Jaunet depicts a winged woman in its lower section. The Croix de la place de l'église is an iron cross with interwoven initials E and S.

The Croix de cimetière is probably a cross from the early 19th century. Its base consists of a fragment of a column or milestone into which the year 1723 is engraved. The Lavoir de la Pause is located on the Chemin de l'Ancienne Église. The parish church of Saint-Jean has a cul-de-four vault.
