Culture and history

The Château de Pomay was built from 1637 to 1645 on behalf of François de La Croix. The entire Château de Pomay estate has been listed as a historic monument since 1947.

Behind the altar in the choir, the Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste has a reredos in the classical style. In addition, the Marquise de Sévigné visited Marie-Madeleine de Castille in Pomay in 1676 and 1677.

By reservation, the Château de Pomay offers one-hour guided tours of the surroundings, entrance area, chapel and salons for groups of at least 5 and no more than 15 adults.

Nature and landscape

Lusigny is one of the twelve municipalities in the Sologne bourbonnaise Natura 2000 site, which is designated as a special protection area under the Birds Directive.

The Étang de la Ferme is used for walks; picnic tables are available there, and fishing is possible.

Local life

The Bibliothèque municipale can be accessed via the car park on Rue de Fradan. The Bibliothèque municipale offers free book borrowing.

Cycle paths and rural activities

The Balade de l'étang de la ferme is a 6.96-kilometre, moderately difficult circular cycle route in Lusigny.

The 30-kilometre cycle loop Étangs et châteaux en Sologne bourbonnaise, classified as difficult, heads towards Lusigny and the Étang de la Ferme. On the way to the village of Lusigny, it passes the Château de Fougis.

The Lusigny cycle route leads to the Demeure Mimorin, a regionally characteristic house with half-timbering and two-coloured tiles.
