Culture and History
The Château du Plessis was built in June 1497. The Château d'Issards has a main construction phase in the late 15th century and a secondary construction phase in the third quarter of the 19th century. Of the 15th-century construction, only the residential tower and the attached ceremonial staircase have survived at this château. The Château d'Issards was partially listed as a historic monument on December 26, 1968, and listed as a historic monument on April 9, 2001.
The former Saint-Maurice priory includes a transept, an apse, and apsidioles, which were listed as historic monuments by decree of June 6, 1933. The Saint-Maurice priory, with its church and outbuildings, became the property of the Cluniacs around the year 1000.
