Culture
The Grange de Raclat is the last surviving remnant of a complete agricultural holding. The barn is built with timber framing and earthen infill; some of its wooden elements may date from the 18th century. By a listing order dated 7 April 2008, the Grange de Raclat was protected in its entirety, including the interior fittings, such as mangers and hay racks.
The Château de Beaulon is listed in the supplementary inventory of France’s historic monuments. It features an unusual architectural style known as the Charles X style. The park and the Château de Beaulon are not open to the public and cannot be visited.
The Church of Saint-Privat is a Neo-Gothic brick and stone church built in 1878 to plans by the architect J.-B. Moreau from Moulins. It has side aisles, four chapels and a projecting transept. It also contains wooden statues and a fresco created in 2011 by Denys de Solère entitled „Incarnation“.
Routes
The Circuit des Quarts begins below the church on the Engièvre River and leads to the Clos du May lock on the Canal latéral à la Loire, where it reaches the towpath. It can be combined with the Circuit de Mont to form a 22.5 km loop.
The Balade champêtre autour de Beaulon is a very easy, 22 km road cycling route lasting approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. It starts at 6 Place de la Mairie in Beaulon.
