The centre of Saint-Bonnet-Tronçais developed on the edge of the Tronçais Forest, near the Sologne River and the natural Étang de Saint-Bonnet. The pond covers 45 hectares and is considered a popular tourist attraction.

The Circuit des Chênes Remarquables leads to oak trees that are described in some cases as being more than four centuries old. The Circuit de Richebourg partly runs along the edge of the Forêt Domaniale de Tronçais. The Chêne la Sentinelle stands there and is estimated to be around 450 years old; the Futaie Colbert 2 and its grounds are also mentioned as an extension of the route.

The municipality presents hiking, mountain biking and horse riding as ways to explore its landscapes.
The Circuit de l’Étang de Saint-Bonnet includes a 1 kilometre section designed for people with reduced mobility and enables visitors to observe and listen to birds.
The Futaie Colbert II is located in Saint-Bonnet-Tronçais. From Rond de Richebourg, an approximately one-hour, 1 km hike explores the local terroir, forestry, the quality of Tronçais wood and barrel-making.
The Circuit de l’Étang de Tronçais is a 4.9 kilometre circular route starting in Saint-Bonnet-Tronçais.
The Sentier des Muletiers is a long-distance hiking trail between Berry and Bourbonnais, offering insights into the diverse facets of the heritage of the Pays de Tronçais.
Culture
The Guérite du Maître d’Eau was built in 1788–1789 on the pond’s dam. It was used to monitor and regulate the water flowing to the forges.
The former Romanesque chapel on the Chemin du Pré de la Cure was in very poor condition. This led to the construction of a larger church at the end of the 19th century.
