Treban: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture and History

In the centre of Treban stands the Église Saint-Pierre, which dates from the Romanesque period. It is already mentioned in a papal bull issued by Eugene III on 20 February 1152, listing the possessions of the Priory of Souvigny, which was dependent on Cluny Abbey. The bell tower was rebuilt in 1835 on the south-eastern chapel.

The Château de Boucherolles is also part of the historic heritage. The fortified château dates from the 15th century; its water-filled moats remained intact until the 18th century. When leaving Treban on the D33 towards Châtel, the château can be visited. The main building has two round towers.

Azalea and rhododendron beds line the outbuildings of the Château de Boucherolles and are particularly worth seeing in May. Traces of a Roman road that ran from Tronget towards Port de la Chaise on the Sioule were also found within the municipality of Treban.

When staying in Treban, the desire to rent a holiday apartment may form part of personal travel planning.
