Culture
The reconstruction of the nave of the Église paroissiale de l’Assomption began in 1786. The Maison de Vigneron at 1 place du Général de Gaulle has a stone ground floor and an upper floor with half-timbering.
At Bifang, there is a Carolingian necropolis at the entrance to the Les verts coteaux residential development. A Roman road also runs through Zimmersheim between Bruebach and Rixheim.
History
The “Hausleplatz” archaeological site is associated with settlement by farmers in the Early Neolithic. The farm at 1 rue de l'École includes a former gypsum mill.
The hills surrounding Zimmersheim preserve traces of settlement by Upper Paleolithic hunters, including a hearth at the “Lotissement Clauser II”.
Nature
Zimmersheim has numerous signposted walking trails through a landscape of farmland, orchards, wooded areas, and hedgerows. The rural landscape of Zimmersheim provides a habitat for a diverse bird population.

The “Marche d’orientation de nuit” night orienteering event in Zimmersheim offers several routes ranging from 3 to 8 km.
