Zlámanec: Holiday apartment between culture, forests and cycling routes

Zlámanec lies at the confluence of the Zlámanecký potok and Neradovský potok streams in the valley of the Vizovické vrchy hills. The village is located about 15 km northeast of Uherské Hradiště and on the boundary between Uherskohradišťsko and Luhačovické Zálesí. At the same time, Zlámanec lies at the foot of the western peaks of the Vizovická vrchovina highlands. Picturesque forests extend from the outskirts of Zlámanec.

Culture

The cultural heritage in Zlámanec takes various forms. The Talaš Farmstead, a farmstead near House No. 37 on the village square, illustrates several development phases of the vernacular house in Luhačovské Zálesí. The basic structure of the farmstead dates from the end of the 18th century. Around the middle of the 19th century, a chamber was added to House No. 5; its upper room was used to store food. The two construction periods thus mark a chronological sequence: the basic structure from the end of the 18th century was followed by the chamber around the middle of the 19th century, whose upper room was used for food storage.

The Zlámanecký wooden cross is decorated with carved reliefs depicting the instruments of Christ's Passion. One of the last examples of a wooden cross mounted on a massive beam has been preserved in Zlámanec. The Zlámanecký wooden cross is believed to have been created in 1874. A column-shaped wayside shrine near a field road close to the grounds of the agricultural cooperative was built in the 18th century.

Other interesting monuments in Zlámanec include a fruit-drying facility. At the edge of the village stands a hay barn that is among the local monuments.

Cycle routes

For recreational cycling trips, the C4 field road can be used; as a cycle route, it connects Zlámanec with the surrounding municipalities. Signposted Cycle Route 5055 also runs through Zlámanec, connecting the village with Březolupy, Bohuslavice u Zlína and Doubravy.
