Nedašova Lhota: Holiday apartment in the Závrší area

Nedašova Lhota is a border settlement with the Slovak Republic in the Závrší area and lies in the White Carpathians Protected Landscape Area. Protected juniper habitats can be found in Rovnice, near Maleník, in Potůčky and in Zadky.

History

The first written mention of Nedašova Lhota dates from 1503. In the land registers of the time, the settlement was named as part of the Brumov estate and castle, which guarded the state border at the Vlárský průsmyk pass to Hungary.

Nature

Ploštiny, Kaňur, Holý vrch and Zubák are mountains in the vicinity of Nedašova Lhota. Thus, in addition to the protected juniper habitats, there are also named elevations in the immediate surroundings of the settlement.

Culture

Nedašova Lhota's preserved cultural heritage includes a brick bell tower from 1933 and a small bell from 1775. A wooden fruit-drying facility near Fojtík Jan No. 14 has also been preserved. The fire station in Nedašova Lhota also houses a four-wheeled hand-operated fire pump from 1902.

In the wider regional surroundings of Nedašova Lhota, Starý Světlov survives as a ruin; Malenisko, Svätá Helena and U Kapliček are churches there. The settlement itself also has a listed wooden log-built bell tower dating from 1867.

Things to do

The 23 km-long “Valašské pastorále” hiking trail runs through the hilly landscape around Závrší. This hilly landscape includes Návojná, Nedašov and Nedašova Lhota; it lies in the valley of the Nedašovka River.

For cyclists, the 28 km-long “Na kole po Závrší” route is listed. It leads to the beginning of Nedašova Lhota and then climbs through the settlement.

Nedašova Lhota is also situated on the 35 km-long cross-border cycling and educational route “Naučná cyklotrasa Hugolína Gavloviča”. The route runs from Valašské Klobouky through Nedašov and Nedašova Lhota to Pruské.
