Neubuz lies in the valley of the Všeminka stream and in varied, hilly terrain. Neubuz’s cadastral area, covering 542 hectares, includes 281 hectares of forest. The Títěž game preserve stretches between Neubuz and Všemina. It was established in the early 1980s as an enclosure for fallow deer and mouflon. Thus, within the municipality, the references to the landscape, forest area and the enclosure between Neubuz and Všemina come together.

Nature

The Vyhlídka Barborka lookout offers views of the surrounding landscape throughout the year. The path there leads through a newly planted avenue of fruit trees. Thus, alongside the lookout itself, the course of the access path is also highlighted as a distinct landscape element. The description connects the view across the landscape with a clearly identified section of the route through the fruit-tree avenue.

The 24-km circular route from Slušovice is a road and trekking route that leads to Neubuz and from there back to Slušovice. The nearest railway station is in Želechovice, 8 km from Neubuz.

History and Culture

The first written mention of Neubuz dates from 1373. The place name also points to an older linguistic development: Neubuz was formed by adding a possessive suffix to the personal name Neubud.

The chapel dedicated to Saint Florian was built in 1905. A pilgrimage dedicated to Saint Florian takes place in Neubuz every year. In 1890, the municipal administration decided to build a school. The reconstructed building serves as a venue for various social and educational activities. In this context, the chapel, the pilgrimage and the school building represent different forms of local history and contemporary community life.

Regional Traditions

Fruit growing was traditionally practiced in Neubuz; Trnken were cooked, fruit was dried and slivovitz was distilled. Local farmers have also revived the tradition of cheese-making. Demand cannot be met. The traditional customs thus include both the processing of fruit and the production of regional food products.

Neubuzské guláškování took place for the sixth time in 2026. At the festival, visitors could sample goulash at Hospůdka Na Moštárně. The Hospůdka Moštárna grounds are popular with locals and tourists, who enjoy stopping there for refreshments.

Anyone considering a holiday apartment in Neubuz can compare the individual options based on their specific listings. Before making a decision, the relevant listing page can be checked to see exactly where the accommodation is located, what type of accommodation is specified and for what occupancy it is advertised. Included services and the individual price components can also be reviewed. For booking and cancellation conditions, it is worth looking closely at the wording of the respective listing, as this information does not apply uniformly to every option. The price components should likewise be read in the form specified in each case, so that individual services are not implicitly assumed to be included. Visitors can open several displayed offers and view the relevant fields side by side before making their choice. What remains decisive is the specific information provided for each individual option. A general expectation of the stay does not replace this check; it merely serves to make differences between the offers visible.
