Vidonín: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

At the edge of the village square stands the chapel, or bell tower, of Vidonín, a listed historic monument. The small traditional bell tower on the village square has a square floor plan and was built in 1819. Since 1953, the chapel has housed statues of Saint Anthony and Saint Thaddeus.

Culture and Pilgrimage

Every year, on the first Sunday after 16 July, the Carmelite pilgrimage begins at the chapel in Vidonín. The procession leads from the bell tower in Vidonín via Radňoves and Nová Ves to Heřmanov. The tradition of pilgrimage processions in Vidonín was revived in 1993 after an interruption lasting several years.

Landscape and Trails

Vidonín lies in the transition zone between the Tišnov valley floor and the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. The village is also situated on a relatively steep slope leading down to the picturesque valley of the Libochůvka River. A marked hiking trail leads directly through Vidonín.

Pond and Recreation Area

East of Vidonín lies the new pond, which is used for swimming. The meadow around the pond is currently used for sporting activities. The pond and the meadow surrounding it form a recreational area for the residents of Vidonín.

The Na Loučkách biocentre serves as a place to relax for locals and holiday home owners.
